Been an nvidia fan most of my life. But between Windows 10 EoL, and nvidia still gimping their GPUs ram it was time to move on. New 9070 xt. Figuring out optiscaler for fsr4 was an initial hurdle but now that everything is up and working initial impressions are great.
EVGA doesnt exist anymore sadly. Wish they would come back and make an AMD card.
I would have paid more for evga if they had an AMD card. As is, I went with what I could get for msrp.

9060 here. I’m sure you already have a distro picked, but I found Fedora quite good for gaming.
I’m still sad about 3dfx :(
(EVGA too)
What is this Voodoo of which you speak?
Must be living in The Matrox
It’s actually Voodoos that I speak of, I
hadhave two Voodoo 2s (12MB versions) in SLI.I was 1337 like that back in the day, buying top of the line graphic accelerators (I didn’t have that much money, it’s just that gfx cards didn’t cost as much as a cheap but perfectly usable car).
Well, back then, I was thrilled that Soyo was throwing graphics onto Socket 7 mobos.
Let’s hope AMD doesnt set the end of maintenance after only 5 years.
Even Microsoft gives more mainstream support for Windows Server…
Whatchu gaming on now, then? SteamOS? Bazzite? Some other Linux distro? And what kind of perf are you getting?
On mint for now. Mainly because I’m familiar with apt and it made setup for docker easier being on a dist I’m familiar with.
hell yeah. thx 4 sharing!
That looks expensive.
